Low Nox Gas Fired Burners

On February 14th, 2010, posted in: Boilers by Richard Smith

Each burner is constructed with a stainless steel firing head for highest effeciencies in the combustion chamber.  All burner parts are easily replaced.

Each burner is pre-fired while mounted on a boiler and tested with an analyzer for maximum combustion efficiency.

Low Nox force draft burners produce higher flame temperatures than other designs.

Scotch Marine Steam Boilers

On February 14th, 2010, posted in: Boilers by Richard Smith

Boiler pressures do not fluctuate because the upper third of the boiler is the steam chamber compared to other boiler designs with smaller steam chambers.

The McKenna (pre-certified) Low Nox forced draft burner will produce combustion efficiencies in excess of 82%, which results in reduced fuel cost.

Heavy-duty fiberglass insulation board is covered with a heavy galvanized sheet metal jacket to effectively reduce heat losses.

Quiet boiler combustion performance is achieved throughout all firing ranges.

Turbolators come standard in all 2″ fire tubes to provide lower stack temperatures (as low as 385 degrees) therby transferring more heat to the water.

Unlike other boiler designs, maintenance of the Scotch Marine boiler is faciliated by the uncomplicated design and ease of access to both boiler and burner.

With reasonable boiler care, tubes are not often in need of replacement.  When replacement is required, our boiler with 2″ O.D. straight tubes may be easily retubed by most boiler specialist.

End plates are easy to remove for tube accessibility and boiler inspection. (Hinged doors are found on larger models).
